Monday, May 10: Overcoming Indifference
Jill Rauh, M.A., Director, Education & Outreach, USCCB Dept. of Justice, Peace and Human Development
Jill Rauh is Director of Education and Outreach for the Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
She holds a bachelor of arts from Marquette University,
a master of arts in Theology from Washington Theological Union,
and a master of arts in International Affairs from George Washington University.
Before joining the USCCB in 2007, Jill served as senior program associate of the Education for Justice project at the Center of Concern, worked in civic engagement with Latino youth, facilitated parish social ministry efforts, and served as an international volunteer
with Rostro de Cristo in Ecuador, South America.
Monday, May 17: A New Vision (The Dream)
Deacon Scott Paine, Ph.D., Director of Leadership Development and Education at the Florida League of Cities
Deacon Scott Paine was ordained in the Diocese of St. Petersburg in 2009 and is assigned to St. Mark the Evangelist parish in New Tampa. He and his wife, Carol, have ten children, including seven adopted children, and seven grandchildren.
Deacon Scott served on the Communication and Government and World Affairs faculties of the University of Tampa for 22 years. He also served two terms as a council member for the City of Tampa. Today he is the Director of Leadership Development and Education for the Florida League of Cities, writing a regular magazine column in QC, a weekly blog, and conducting trainings and webinars on municipal government, ethics and ethics law, leadership, communication, and racial equity.

Stephen Okey, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Saint Leo University and Paige Cargioli, M.A., Holistic Therapist
Paige Cargioli is a holistic therapist practicing in South Tampa. In her practice, Open Heart Holistic Therapy, she uses the science of forgiveness to help people resolve the unresolved conflicts in their lives that cause them emotional and physical pain. She holds master’s degrees in mental health counseling and pastoral ministry from Boston College.
She is professionally certified in Emotional Polarity Technique.
Stephen Okey is an Associate Professor of Philosophy, Theology, and Religion at Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, FL, where he teaches courses in Catholic theology and ethics.
He earned his master’s degree in theology from the University of Chicago Divinity School
and his Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Boston College.
He is the author of A Theology of Conversation: An Introduction to David Tracy, published in 2018 with Liturgical Press Academic. He has published scholarly essays in Political Theology and Communicazioni Sociali.
His research interests are in public theology, Catholic social teaching, and technology.
Paige and Steve have been married since 2015 and live in Tampa with their daughter, Dorothy.
